All-new Posting Guide! READ!

Welcome to the University and Universities forums. Please take a few minutes to read this before posting to familiarise yourself with this subforum.

Your thread stands a much better chance of being answered if you post in the correct forum.
Firstly, please use the search function to see if your question has been answered in the past.
If you're not sure where to post, browse the forums and have a look at threads which are already there.

Can someone take a look at my Personal Statement?
-> Check out our PS help section, where our approved helpers can review them for you. These are users at or alumni of universities across the country, who are in an ideal position to give you feedback. If your PS is specific to one of the following areas, please post in the appropriate forum:
-Law and Social Sciences
-Maths, Computing and Physical Sciences
-Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Health and Life/Biosciences
-Humanities and the Arts

Why is there not a subforum for X University?
-> Subforums are added when demand arises. If you want a subforum for your university, post a thread in the main Universities forum to gauge interest. If there are at least 10 active posters (i.e. with over 100 posts), post the list of names in a new thread in the Ask A Moderator (AAM) forum and the Moderation team will consider it.
University A or University B for economics? Best A-levels to take for medicine? Work experience for Law application?

If appropriate, please post your thread in one of the more specific subforums: Student Finance, Student Accommodation, Postgraduate, International Study, Mature Students, Disabled Students. In such a general forum as this, please search or browse before starting a new thread as there can often be one already being posted in regarding what you want to talk about!

Conduct
On a more serious note, please be aware of and adhere to the Site Rules; particularly noting that email addresses should not be posted in the forum. If you see someone breaking the rules; or indeed need to ask a moderator to intervene by moving or closing a thread where appropriate, you can use the Post Report function which is the warning symbol on the top right of each post.

Overall, if you stick to the rules and procedures you'll be fine. I hope you enjoy your time in the University and Universities section of TSR.
Thanks.
