Celebrating over 100 years of education, Staffordshire University is made up of a main campus in Stoke-on-Trent, a campus in Stafford and centre of excellence in Shrewsbury and Lichfield. As part of the £40million investment programme across all areas, the university is currently spending millions of pounds on their edge-of-city campus in Stoke-on-Trent, including a new £12m gaming and computing facility. Existing state of the art facilities include motion capture studios, biomechanics labs, an impressive Autosport Workshop, a fully simulated operating theatre, as well as an on-campus film theatre.

Staffordshire University offers a diverse range of courses, from midwifery, secondary teacher training and mechanical engineering to cartoon and comic arts (the only one of its kind in the UK) and computer games design. The courses have a practical ‘real world’ focus, taught by lecturers with links to industry, which has even seen Advertising and Brand Management students pitching briefs to real design agencies in New York as part of their course. Staffordshire is also one of only a few universities to offer 2 year fast track degrees for those looking to complete their courses a little quicker.

Transport links are excellent between all the campuses, with easy access to both Manchester and Birmingham. Alton Towers and the well-known V Festival are just down the road, but if you want to get out into the country air, the rolling hills of the Peak District are just a short drive away. What’s more, the cost of living has been rated the third most affordable in the country*!
