Student Life

Morning, noon and night, there’s always somewhere to go and something to do in Hull. In fact, you’ll do well to fit everything in while you’re there.

Yes they’ve got the big ticket attractions. But it’s the quirks, the culture, the hidden gems waiting around every corner - they’re the reason students fall in love with the city.

Free museums, eclectic galleries, new bars, historic pubs, famous nightclubs, heart-racing sport, hair-raising shows, indie shops, bohemian cafes and more. The city has something for all the foodies out there. Burgers at joints like Crafted. Brunch spots like Thieving Harry’s. Hideaways like Nibble.

Travel Information

Hull’s location – about halfway between London and Edinburgh – puts it within pretty convenient distance of most parts of the UK. Hull's road, rail, air and sea links are so good that students can easily get to the city from all over the country, and in fact from all over the world.

There are regular direct trains from London, taking as little as two and a half hours. There’s fast, direct access from northern England and Scotland, while destinations to the west are also well connected. Once you reach Hull Paragon Interchange, it's easy to get a taxi, bus, or our shuttle service which runs on open days and offer holder days. The Hull Paragon Interchange provides easy access to all forms of transport and is not far from the Hull campus.

Accommodation

Hull has 2,300+ on-campus rooms that have something for everyone. And you’re literally minutes away from everything you need.

Within Westfield Court, there are a mix of flat sizes with en-suite and shared bathroom facilities. There are plenty of spaces to study, socialise and relax. You’ll have access to a games room, two music practice rooms, and a big screen to name just a few.

At the other side of campus, there’s The Courtyard. All rooms are en-suite, and there’s space for 562 students. Inside, there’s comfy lounges, a games room, a multi-function room with large screen projector, plus a Masterchef-style kitchen - which can be used for anything from movie nights to extra special occasions.

Taylor Court is one of the most established and close-knit communities, offering the best value for money on campus. All rooms are en-suite, overlooking a gated courtyard. Each flat of 8 people share a kitchen, a small seating area and a washer dryer - meaning no visits to the laundrette.
