The University has a full range of creative arts courses with seven departments and schools offering all aspects of creative design and art.
School of Architecture, Design & Interiors
This school explores design, sustainable issues, materials and manufacturing processes. Students are encouraged to think up and deliver creative and informed solutions to real world design problems. The School has a esteemed network of scholars, professionals and industry leaders offering lectures, materials and support, preparing students to work with local and international clients
The Falmouth School of Art
Visual arts have been taught at Falmouth for over a century, and the School has a well earned reputation for excellence. The School encourages and nurtures students in a committed studio culture, with the discipline and peer based review needed to bring out the best in prospective artists.
The School of Communication Design
This school encourages creative thinking, problem solving and a willingness to experiment with different kinds of media. Graduates of this school are highly desirable for several top tier marketing and advertising firms, including BBH, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, JWT, Pentagram, The Chase, Lewis Moberly, Imagination and Turner Duckworth, as well as the BBC and other television production companies
The Fashion & Textiles Institute
An energetic, industrious, studio-based environment, the Institute puts all of its efforts into helping you succeed. With its well connected, experienced faculty and active and fruitful partnerships with Adidas, John Lewis, New York Coterie and DC Shoes, students are well prepared to make inroads in the fashion industry.
The School of Film & Television
One of the best film schools in the UK, with high graduate employability and several alum who have won major awards. Combining the disciplines of film, television, animation and visual effects in a potent mix of creativity, scholarship and entrepreneurship. Emphasising practical learning, with theoretical study, critical analysis and applied training, students will be creating in a contemporary and relevant way.
The Games Academy
One of the UK's leading Games Development Schools, Falmouth offers the opportunity to start developing games at an exciting time in the industry. Alumni have gone on to work at major studios such as Square-Enix, Blizzard, Bethesda, and EA, as well as develop their own indie titles.
Academy of Music & Theatre Arts
Following a merger with the Dartington College of Arts, the academy has dedicated itself to education, research and programming with a strong basis in the wider world. Preparing students to mount their own productions, the Academy stresses the importance of cultural and social contexts in it's academic teaching, whilst encouraging students to perform in its dedicated performance space.
Institute of Photography
With a longstanding, international reputation, the Institute of Photography is uniquely placed to offer students teaching in all aspects of photography, from composition of shots to darkroom techniques and cutting edge digital software. The Institute has partnerships with several leading camera and lens manufacturers, meaning that students have top quality equipment available for their projects. It also offers placements, live projects, internships and study trips abroad so students can explore and hone their craft.
The School of Writing & Journalism
With a professional, renowned staff and faculty - Lionel Shriver was 2014's writer-in-residence - the School of Writing & Journalism is one of the most illustrious in the country. Advocating practical experience and hard work in writing, the school serves to provide students with the tools to develop and flourish as writers.
Tuition Fees and Funding
BA Undergraduate students from the UK and EU will pay £9,000 in tuition fees. International undergraduates will £12,000.
For Postgraduate fees, UK and EU students will pay £5,250 for an MA. International students pay £12,500. For more information on fees, please consult the universities website.
Falmouth University is located in the heart of Cornwall, surrounded by idyllic countryside. The campus is light and airy, with subtropical gardens, and you aren't far from Gyllyngvase Beach or the centre of town.

With open access suites, laptop rental and repair and even training for the programmes you will use on your courses, there is plenty of support at Falmouth.
The Compass is the student centre, with advice, assistance and help for all sorts of student problems. You can contact them for support with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, attend counselling and wellbeing services, and get accommodation and student finance advice.
FXU is the only SU in the country to service two Universities, partnered with Exeter. Their mission is to provide effective representation for all of its students, meeting the needs of an increasingly diverse student populace. Its venue, The Stannary Bar, has a wide variety of events through the year. There is also a vibrant array of societies, as well as campaigns both local and national. FXU also offers its own range of counselling and wellbeing services.
There are seven halls of residence at Falmouth, all within close reach of both campuses.
Glasney Student Village
On the grounds of Penryn Campus, with spectacular sea views, Glasney Student Village accommodates 1,500 first year students. Facilities include en suite bathrooms, double beds, and plenty of storage. Rents start at £75.74pw
Within walking distance of Penryn Campus and the local station, The Sidings accommodates 233 students in either flats or studios. Facilities include broadband web access, en suite showers, wardrobes and a sofa and TV in the kitchen/living room. Rents start at £126.42pw
Located in the heart of Falmouth, with the beaches and campus just a short walk away, this cluster of 11 buildings around a courtyard hosts 156 students. Facilities include ensuite bathrooms, single beds, free bike and surfboard storage, and secure entry. Rent is £111.86pw
Also located in Falmouth, this is ideally situated for travel between both campuses. Facilities include single beds, plenty of storage, free high speed internet, sofas and a plasma TV. Rents start at £119.14pw
Again, located in Falmouth less than 15 minutes from campus. Facilities include double beds, a flatscreen TV in each bedroom, plenty of storage and sofas and chairs in the kitchen living area. Rents start at £113.54pw
A grade II listed building on the waterfront of Penyrn, The Warehouse has double beds, plenty of storage space and clothing rails, a TV in the living area, laundry facilities and high speed internet. Rents start at £120.61pw
Rather than a traditional hall, Maritime Studios is a block of individual studio flats. Located near Falmouth docks and marina, each studio has its own individual bathrooms and kitchens, with double beds and study area, whilst the communal living room has a TV, sofas, and a pool table.
