We offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Allied Health, Business, Computing, Education, Law, Medicine, Psychology, Humanities and Social Sciences. We are one of the few universities in the UK that offer September and January start dates for almost all of our courses.
Our award-winning small class tutorials ensure every student is known by name and supported throughout their studies, including by dedicated personal tutors.
As pioneers of the two-year degree, we offer a condensed version of the traditional three-year degree, meaning you can gain a full honours degree and complete your studies a whole year earlier. Alternatively, you can complete both your undergraduate and master's degree with us in just three years: saving you time and money.

Student Life in Buckingham
Buckingham is surrounded by green spaces, and our riverside campus, based on the River Great Ouse, is an ideal backdrop for your studies. Enjoy the relaxing study areas or chilled restaurant and bar on campus, or take a five-minute stroll into town: everything you need is within walking distance.
We are close to the Cotswolds and are spoilt with bike trail and day hike options, but rest assured you are never far away from a city. Milton Keynes (MK) is a 20-minute drive away and offers plenty of shops, cinemas, a theatre, indoor skiing, indoor skydiving, and more. Or jump on a fast train from MK to explore many big cities.

Featured Societies
Africa Society
Their purpose is to raise ambassadors for the African Continent, making a positive change both at university and across the world. They are passionate about promoting the growth and development of the African Continent through talks, fundraising, cultural showcases, marches and much more.
Language Society
Language is all around us; we use it every day in everything they do, from listening to the radio to ordering at restaurants. The Language Society celebrates all languages. We promote the welfare and use of languages to students by holding various functions which include (but are not limited to) world cinema nights, parties, beginner cases in foreign languages, field trips, and world language days.
Medical Society
The MedSoc aims to bring members of staff and students together from across the University to discuss anything and everything scientific and medically orientated.
Model United Nations Society
They are a unique society at the University of Buckingham, providing students with a gist of globalisation by debating in a parliamentary style where each participant shall act as a delegate of a specific country. But debating is just the tip of the iceberg: the society aims to promote global harmony and will always try to promote various cultures which make Buckingham such an incredible hub of diversity. They celebrate this diversity and aim to fully integrate a broad, global perspective within the University.
Music, Arts and Theatre Society
The society is tailored towards all students studying at the University of Buckingham and is run by fellow students. MATS provides students a fun and easy access to music for all voices, instruments and talents. The society is for anyone with acting experience into the fray; anyone who is interested in theatre work, improvisation, directing, stage management and production is welcome. Anyone with a passion for other forms of creative expression is also welcome, from dancers to singers and musicians.

The University's Sport and Fitness programmes offer students the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities at both a recreational and competitive level. Our Fitness Centre on Hunter Street is open seven days a week.
Library
Enjoy the quiet study spaces, breakout rooms and lounges at the two libraries on our Buckingham campus. There's space to study, read, use University PCs, browse the shelves or carry out research.
Bookshop
The Vinson Building on Hunter Street is home to the University Bookshop, selling everything from course books and stationery to University merchandise and local Buckingham products.
Eateries
As well as being a short walk from Buckingham town (with its many pubs, restaurants and tea houses), we have an on-site cafe in the Vinson Building and a restaurant in the Old Tanlaw Mill (OTM). On warm days, our outdoor seating area alongside the river is a popular spot to lunch and study.

Buckingham is in the heart of south-east England, a thriving market town in Buckinghamshire. We are located 50 miles from London and 20 miles from Oxford. Easily accessible by road and rail. A close proximity to London's airports support our strong national and international connections.

Accommodation
With a wide variety of rooms available on our beautiful campuses, you can relax whilst remaining close to all of the action – and, best of all, accommodation is guaranteed to first-year students*.
Buckingham
The University owns all of its accommodation, and you will either be based on campus (where many of our rooms are located) or nearby. All of the accommodation is within a 15-20 walk from the town centre.
Choose from ensuite or shared bathrooms, mixed and single-gender options, riverside locations and designated quiet blocks. Rooms are fully furnished and centrally heated, with Wi-Fi and access to cooking facilities. Most have a small refrigerator as well. Disabled rooms and facilities are available.
Crewe
Located five minutes away from campus, our Crewe accommodation offers 790 rooms in the newly built Booth Hall. Offering comfortable, self-catering accommodation, with vibrant communal spaces and modern facilities (including high-speed Wi-Fi), you are sure to find a relaxing home at this residence.
