Open Days

The best way to find out if Oxford Brookes is the place for you is to come and see it for yourself. It's your opportunity to see where you could live and learn with accommodation and campus tours, talk to the academics teaching your subjects, and chat to our friendly team of Student Ambassadors to get the real student perspective on life at Brookes.

You can also meet the experts and attend talks about finance, the application process, entry requirements and support.

We also offer campus tours throughout the year which are a perfect way of getting a feel for the place if you can’t make it to an Open Day.

To find out when the next Open Day is, take a look at the Open Day calendar here.

Student Life in Oxford

Student Halls

We have halls on and around all our Oxford campuses, which are linked to the other halls and campuses, the city centre and the train station by our BROOKESbus service.

Most halls have a 38 week contract, with some having up to 50 week contracts for students on longer courses or who want to stay in Oxford over the summer.

2022-23 prices range from £119.98 per week for a self-catered, single-study bedroom with a shared kitchen and bathroom, to around £161.50 per week for en suite accommodation. Studio flats are approximately £214.97 per week.

If you apply on time and make Oxford Brookes your firm choice on UCAS Track, then you are guaranteed a place in halls.

For more information and pictures of each hall, visit our accommodation pages.

Student City

If you look beyond Oxford’s dreaming spires and impressive history, you’ll find a buzzing student community in a city made for student life - almost a quarter of the Oxford population are students!

Whether you’re looking for pubs, clubs, nature-filled walks, museums, galleries or just some really good food; you’ll definitely find the Oxford for you. Oxford also has some events and traditions that you won’t find anywhere else, so get involved and make the most of being in this inspiring city.

One place to definitely check out is the Cowley Road - you can just pop down the road from Headington Campus for bars, restaurants, pubs, clubs and food from around the world. There are loads of great places for having fun on a budget, and it’s the student hub of East Oxford.

There are also job opportunities to suit everyone if you want to work at uni, whether you’re getting work experience on a placement as part of your course, or aiming to increase your employability and extra cash with a part-time job. Oxford is home to over 4000 businesses - you’ll definitely find the one for you.
