Queen Margaret University has a long history, having been founded as Edinburgh School of Cookery in 1875, but is perhaps one of the most modern universities in the UK, as in 2007 it gained its university status and relocated to a purpose-built campus in southeast Edinburgh.
The low-emission campus is one of the greenest in the UK and offers a community feel, with a student village on campus, as well as an entertainment hub and sports centre.
