De Montfort University
De Montfort University (DMU) is the most improved university in the UK. The university is proud to have leapt into the top 50 UK universities with the best employment rates and the top 40 UK universities for student satisfaction. DMU recently climbed 32 places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide to 54th position - the biggest rise of any university in the UK. The Which? University guide has named DMU as one of the most creative universities in the UK for two years running - ranking it alongside Oxford, Cambridge and a handful of others. De Montfort also leapt 16 places in the latest national student satisfaction survey and are now ranked in the top 40 by the Times Higher Education magazine. Successful graduates have gone onto work at world-leading companies such as Warner Bros, HSBC, Nike, KPMG, BBC, Gucci, Abercrombie and Fitch, BMW, Levi’s, NASA, Disney, IBM and Adidas.
The university has also launched the sector-leading #DMUglobal programme, offering the majority of students a meaningful international experience during their studies. Recent returnees enjoyed amazing experiences in Brazil, China and The Gambia and DMU have committed £2 million to ensure that 11,000 of our students have an international experience over the next five years. Students will gain an international perspective invaluable in a fiercely competitive graduate marketplace.
Leicester is a diverse and vibrant place to live; a recent £3 billion regeneration has transformed the city into a lively hub of entertainment, shopping and culture. DMU’s buildings and accommodation are all within one central area and right next to the city centre - making everything you would expect from the 10th largest city in the country just a few minutes’ walk away from the campus.
