University Clearing for 2013: contacts, help and advice
Is Clearing for you? If you're planning to start a higher education course at university or college in the new academic year, and you don't already have a confirmed place, then the answer is yes. You can use Clearing to find a place on a huge variety of unfilled college and university courses - and it's much easier than you might think.
In 2012, around 12% of all university places were filled by students using the Clearing process. You can find lists of all the courses available in Clearing immediately after A-level results day on 15 August 2013, but if you think you might be in Clearing this year, you can start your preparation right now. Here on The Student Room you'll find all the information you need to know about Clearing: how it works, how you can work your way through the process and how you can ensure you get the university or college place that's right for you. You'll also find advice on results day and how to be prepared, as well as tips on considering Adjustment, should your results turn out better than expected.
