Yes I've got an invitation to it, I got my You@York login details last night finally and an invitation to the open day this morning. I filled in the form straight away but I'm kind of worried as to whether the upload of the document worked there was no indication that is successful. I've been looking at train tickets, if you pick the time carefully they're not so expensive, I thought they'd be more, but then it is still a month away. I may head up with a friend of mine who also has an offer and I plan on doing some exploring of the city before going t the actual open day.

That's pretty much as the same as me, I read up about the Reformation over last summer and I absolutely loved it! Yes, you're right about the essays I just wanted to let you know that I got an email response from one of the History admissions tutors and he said there would be a final departmental visit day for the subject on the 24th April and it should apparently come up on your You@York portal. I am still annoyed that we've been told so late - makes tickets so expensive going up! But hopefully we'll be able to make the last visit day Hope this helps in some way, and that you're well!

Ancient Greek would be awesome too! But my heart lies with Russian. The furthest I went back at A level was the reformation so it'll be nice to some really old stuff, I'm particularly interested in the just post-Roam era options. Yay for University! Essays where I can write what I want not what the examiner wants to see! It's a a Public affairs company called Hanover Communications near Greys Inn, I haven't started there yet but i will have done by the time of the open day.

Ooh, me too, definitely doing a language, either continuing with Spanish or going for something funky like German or Greek The medieval options look awesome to me too, especially after being restricted to only modern topics during A Level. So glad that degree level History looks completely different to A Level! Thank you for the link, I have just asked to join. I don't use FB much but it'd be nice to know some faces before going. Ooh right, where are you interning? Are you enjoying it?

I really like the course, definitely think i'm going to take up the Language option as well, Russian here I come! And such good Medaevil options! Asdfghjkl! I'm sure they will let me, I'm only going to be an intern and one of about three so they don't need me that much! Oh and if you're on facebook you should join the York 2012 group https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/222249687862853/

Hi was wondering if you managed to get to the last York History day or if you missed it? If you didn't get to it I thought i'd let you know that they've told me there will be a general Open day on the 27th of April. I can get the day off work I definitely plan to go.
