Yeah when I spoke to the hospitals around my area they all told me to check the NHS Jobs website - I did regularly til I found a Band 2 job (mine was departmental assistant at the a&e) and applied for that and got an interview. Still waiting on the verdict though!

Basically just search on the NHS jobs website regularly for a Band 2 position, they need hardly any qualifications, and as long as you have decent GCSE's/A-Levels there shouldnt be any problem in getting an interview.

Hey. I saw your post in the unintended gap year thread. I happen to be a failed medical applicant and am taking an unintended gap year. I've been trying to find work at a hospital much like you. Could perhaps help me out? What type of job did you apply for and how did you apply?

Because I live in London and have been trying to apply as a health care assistant. I've called up many hospitals and have been directed to the NHS job website which I have also applied through. But nothing's working!
