My messages-
I usually do a bit of work on one day of the weekend though not the other two as one I am usually drunk on and the other hungover :P . I myself think the night life is very good but I have heard one of 2 people from big cities say they don't think it is as good as from where their from. But it is all very close together so never a far walk in between clubs. People do go out a lot during the week but one of the biggest nights of the week is Superbull on Friday night which is rather good. I went to pretty much all of them in the first term last year and I only remember 2 lol

Ahh okay, i just think it would be easier keeping my job at home really. Do you do a lot of work over the weekend because i'd like to think i'd manage the work load throughout the week. I'll have to see what happens really and if i just can't manage it i could just put in for a transfer.
How do you rate the night life in Lincoln, on a lot of forums i've been on i generally get told that people go out throughout the week because on weekends it's really expensive etc. -

Yeh I was in every day mon-fri though friday was just studio work so no lectures. But going home for the weekend isn't the best thing to do even if it's for work. One of my course mates did that this year and by October she was already fed up of doing it Not only because it was getting in the way of her working but it also meant she couldn't come out with us on some nights as she had to go home to work. And it's cool

I'm normally quite organised with my work so i don't think i'm too bothered about it but the only predicament i'm in is that i'll be travelling home on train at the weekends for my job, so i'll only be in Lincoln Mon-Fri which could complicate my situation with my work load etc because i can imagine I won't get a lot done when i'm back home.
Are you in every day throughout the week on your timetable or do you have a day missing to get work done etc? Don't mean to be bothering you by the way
, i'm just interested to see past peoples views on the course, as i'm obviously going to hear all the praises from the teachers but i'd prefer to get an honest opinion,
Cheers. -
I am not going to lie the work load is big but how you deal with it can completely change how bad it is. Like me I haven't done a single all nighter all year as I just did work when I was bored while I know others who have done over 20 all nighters. The course is run fairly well to be honest my only complaint is that they are very **** for getting back to you with your marks. Unless you fail there is a large chance of not finding out how you did for a fair while. u other than that it is run very good everything is well organised (well not so much with history and theory) but it's all good. Oh one small warning Marcin the first year directer can be infuriating at times but that's only if your in his tutor group which I sadly was.

How are you finding Architecture at Lincoln?
I'm due to start the course this september and would like a students perspective on how the course is run and how you find the work load
,
Cheers, Owen.
