hey, did you manage to get a hold of any of the textbooks? Also, there's something I think you should do!
-
You should be able to get all of them from the UCL Science Library. The only textbook really worth buying would be the Concepts and Methods one, Psychology: The Science of Mind and Behaviour. You won't need a textbook for statistics, but I think the Easy Statistics in Psychology book is great and cheap, so it's worth getting.

Sorry to bother you again, but what books do I need/reccomended for first year?
-
Thank you! I love social psych, looking forward to that module! Thank you for all your help, I guess I'll see you around the department in a couple of months!

hmm there wasn't a politics option available for my year, but there were philosophy modules (including political philosophy though). nah you're stuck with the psych ones -lab reports, statistics, concepts & methods (basically a-level stuff), individual differences, memory & decision-making, social psych- and it's only in third year we are allowed to specialise. for social psych in first year you'll have Daniel Richardson, the guy in the hat from this video

I think I want to take philosophy and politics. It was on the evolutionary adapation of religion which turned out to be a lot of fun! Do you get any choice which psych modules you can take? Thanks for the help by the way!

I did pharmacology and economics as my optional courses. Any idea what you wanna take? Nah you won't need a calculator because any calculations you do will be on the software we use (Minitab). ooo what was the extended project on?
-
I did psychology, sociology, philosophy & ethics and an extended project in psych. Yes do I have a question, will I need a scientific calculator for stats? And what electives did you do? Cheers

ye I just finished first year of psych there. what did you study for A Level? also, feel free to ask any questions about the course etc.
