I will do some new and some same subjects. I am no longer doing physics or english and may do french and economics. Then i shall retain my choice of biology and chemistry as i need it. I hope my dedication counts. Only one or two med schools will consider me as an undergrad school leaver. :erm:

But I shall work hard with the best grades and the best work exp etc.....

That or I may do Pharmacy. :indiff:

What is Paradise Lost about? :tea:

    I like:

    To kill a mockingbird
    Animal Farm
    Streetcar named Desire

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. :hide:

    :lovehug:

YASS is great. Depending on where I go....... I will try and get onto it. Ask your teacher later today when you collect your results.

Y u no know meme. <------------ another meme btw.

Oh I see. If you are talking about Harry Potter ----> I know nothing about that stuff. Pottermore is the site no?

    What is it exactly?

Those bastards are like that with Medicine too.

Let's hunt them. The "I may do medicine... Its well paid" and "I quite like English from like 10 minutes
    Ago. " people.

Good luck in your results and your educational career. What are your plans after Oxford English. :cookie:

YASS sounds wonderful, though I'm certain my school don't offer it. Wow, so never going to have time for everything I want to do!

Oh right, I didn't know that meme. I feel like a fail

Yeah, really annoys me when I see people in my year say "I quite like English, reckon I might do that at Uni" when it's been my favourite subject for all I can remember of my school career (I feel like an awful PS cliche!) and I am so obsessed with criticism recently.

I would go for Cambridge but I've (again, excuse me, please! Think Tim Minchin: "Storm (*which actually is part of my pottermore name), despite the derision, kept firing off cliches with startling precision") dreamed of going to Oxford since, I have no idea when, I can't really remember when I didn't . A bit weird because my Dad was the first in my family to Uni & I hardly ever see him anyway. It's closer, I prefer the course & it's (I'm told) slightly more reputable for English.

I'm sure they'll be impressed with your dedication  How are you with work experience and the like? Will you pick up all new subjects (what did you do?), or resit?

I've no choice, I'm afraid as General Studies is compulsory (it's only 1 period a fortnight & the head of sixth thinks I could get an A/B if I took it today). Yeah, I don't really know what it is  - here's the spec. I have to do an 'enrichment' of which my best bet is either CT or the Extended Project, and you're right - the latter does look :awesome: I'm hoping to do it on Paradise Lost.

Philosophy & Ethics is one of my actual options - I've done quite a lot of TSR research and I don't think it's seen as soft? Besides I'm going to have a great teacher/ it's one of my best subjects at GCSE & I've already self-taught the philosophy side of the AS, so it should be okay.

SORRY I HAD TO SQUEEZE THIS INTO THREE MESSAGES LOL

A lot of the nice subjects like Medicine , Law,English, Politics and stuff are competitive. The worst is when people do it for the sake of a degree and not the love of the subject.

Try Cambridge They are less bitches with rejections than Oxford , from what I hear

I want to go into Medicine. But med schools can get a bit pissy with these things. :erm:

I would just stick it but with Critical Thinking , you have to be carefull that you do not overwork yourself at the perril of all your other subjects.

General Studies is often not included in university offers and nor is Critical Thinking. At least if you aim for Oxford,UCL or Durham , I think they don't include it.

But a lot of unis are like that.

What is General Studies anyway? Heard of it but don't know what it is :erm:

EPQ is awesome though , I want to do one  But I don't think my places offer them

You should see if your school offers the YASS Scheme :yep:

    You will get them :penguinhug:

    Oh and Over 9000---> http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/its-over-9000

This will explain it all :yep:

Ooh Nice unis. I liked English Lit

Until I cocked up the exam at AS

    Hi!

    I know.

    Unfortunately I have no choice

But it's fine..... it is a valuable life lesson and will help me mature over time. Hopefully I may be able to retake the year and do A2 all in 1 year so I can finish at 2012 (as I am supposed to) but it depends.

Oh I intend to be very rewarded

After all I do intend to do a hell of a lot more work from now on! I am aiming for A grades and A*

I may have. Why does your school persuade you to do all these frilly extras? Do you really want to do them. I think Philosophy and Ethics is good but do you really want to do em?
