Ah, cool I see, well my insurance is University of Exeter (AAB)
, but yes, my firm is Oxford, so I'm still really hoping that I'll make it!

Thanks a lot on the information! Well done on your oxford offer! Guessing that is your firm, what about your insurance?
Well, I will be honest this was my friend who posted it but he is applying to Oxford for history and politics, QMUL for history and politics, LSE international history and relations but he isn't sure about his back up choices yet. -
I'm not sure exactly, and obviously the threshold will change every year, with the average HAT score changing depending on the diffculty of the paper. Also, bear in mind that GCSEs, predicted grades, reference and also the personal statement are all considered before interview.
I would say;
The average score is around 60 (/100), and people getting below 50 tend to be rejected pre-interview. Anything above 70 is considered a very good score. After emailing to find out my results I found out that this cycle, the average score of those called to interview was 61 in the HAT, and that the average score of those that were given an offer was 66. I got 68
.
Are you thinking of applying to Oxford for History then? Where else are you thinking of applying to?
Good luck if you're waiting for AS results! -
Hey what do u think the threshold HAT score is for an Oxford interview?
