My messages-
Yeah we don't have any teacher photos, so I guess they're not so bad.
Still, jokes about individual teachers have come up a lot, so I guess they haven't clocked yet...
Haha and you'd have to watch everyone else paying less fees :P -
Half of our ones weren't proper memes, but I suppose that's not such a big deal... A couple of captioned teacher photos which were the biggest prob, I reckon
Haha I guess it is! My insurance will probably be Glasgow, and they're even worse for it :P -
Hahaha that is genuinely hilarious!!
Yeah we've got memes too, still somehow under the limelight though...
Not for long I suspect, our school is pretty vigilant with these things, and there's certainly teacher-offensive stuff there!
And yeah that's natural for King's types :P -
Our school grew so fed up of sheet losing they organised an online network thingy for parents to access letters. My parents at least didn't understand it/couldn't be bothered, I'm guessing they weren't the only ones, and then after one year the fascists decided sixth-form were now forbidden from using the system to keep up to date with our notices. Why are school administration systems so worthless?
Has your school got one of those meme pages? I think ours is being run by year 12s, and the DH is trying to scare them into closing it, so I'm feeling fiercely anti-establishment today... -
Heh, exactly!
People used to not only forge signatures, but try to cover them up in writing- we then got separate sheets for them, and the sheet-losing began...
Yeah that's probably true :P -
Aha, so both systems encourage a new generation of forgers - very commendable.
I actually prefer the old system, whereby every offence could merit an immediate detention. But that might be from a position of relative security, if I'd been giving up more of my evenings I probably wouldn't see it like that...
-
We have bad notes, where you get something written in your diary, usually what you've done. Has to be signed by your parents.
Pretty scary stuff in the old days... -
So if that's the same carrot, what's your stick? Lower school have this thing called a "red card", where you need to have four offences signed off before they give you a detention - the school doesn't seem to have realised how easy it is to just fill in the fourth box yourself...
-
Hahaha we have those as well!! Although we call them merits.
Wholeheartedly agree, terrible lack of manners. -
Schools get very good at control, especially in the younger years - we had a system of "credits", it was like the sticker a dentist gives you for being good, but you'd be amazed the power it has over year 7s. And if you're desperate for extra work, or to give in work, it's surely common courtesy to wait until after class? No manners...
