Hey, how'd your exams go? Have you organised your TSA yet btw? My friend and I will be doing ours several hours late cos he has a Latin Extension exam on the same day, so I get stuck in 'solitary confinement' for the whole morning lol.

Oh, and who was your friend who got into PPE last year? I'd love to have a chat with them.

Ah bad luck :/ A friend of mine who is also applying has his last exam on the day of the TSA as well, so we're seeing if we can move it forward a day for both of us.

Have you talked to anyone about applying to Oxford? At your school I mean. They might have something.
TSA clashes with my exams so... no cramming practice in for me.

    Christ Church for me!
Apparently Balliol is really famous for PPE and, consequently, put on a hard interview and have a high application rate for the subject. Might be a plus for you, but... just putting that out there

Nah, I haven't done much for the TSA either. I'm not sure whether I should start early or if I should do the past papers just before the actual thing for familiarity. I'm not exactly sure which college to apply for, but I'm thinking of Christ Church, Magdalen and Balliol - wbu? Good luck with your exams!

In regards to the TSA, nothing much. I agree it doesn't look that bad with the multiple choice - I'm pretty sure but it's the written passages I'm scared of! Apparently they might bite you with some very ambiguous questions. My philosophical reasoning isn't the best

Although I'm pretty sure we're given ample time with the MC.

I'm going to start a weekly routine after exams. Haven't done anything yet.
Yourself? Also, what college are you applying to?

With the 99.95, 15 people get it here. I think it's standardized with the population levels. So yeah - pretty damn hard xD

I'll put you in touch with her after exams - ie in about a month. Do remind me

Btw, how hard is to get 99.95 in WA? Over here in NSW, 49 people got it last year, so that's pretty impressive from your friend

Sure, I'd love to get some tips from someone who's been accepted for PPE.

Have you done any practice TSAs btw? I've looked at some questions and they don't seem to be particularly hard, but it also looks quite easy to make careless errors as given the lengthy passages.

Ah. PPE. My other Australian friend got in for PPE at magdalen last year. Do you want me to ask her for a few tips for you or something along those lines?

YAY! ANOTHER TSAer. Glad I'm not alone in this

Usually predictions aren't even that accurate. My friend - above mentioned- got predicted a 98.65. She ended up getting a 99.95. So yeah.
And from my research, they predict all Australian students a conditional of 98.5 because of their unfamiliarity with the system.

... what I'm trying to say here is that grades don't count as much for us as they do for the UK applicants because of their lack of comparison. As long as you're above the 98.5 threshold, you're fine
Just get your Masters of Studies to secure you the 98.5

I'm from Sydney and am applying for PPE

I've tried using some ATAR calculators, but I really have no idea how to scale or align my school marks. And my Master of Studies refuses to give me an estimate - apparently I'll have to log in to UCAS when the rest of my application is complete, and he'll enter the estimates and submit them.

AU REPRESENT! Where are you from and what course are you applying to?

Both, actually. We get predicted ATARs at the end of each semester, but I usually just try to update it by putting it in an ATAR calc... right now, my grades have dropped SO MUCH - I'm on like, a 97 at the moment. It sucks.
