Oh wow, well even though your offer is ABB, I'm sure you will exceed that anyway, judging by your other academics. Unfortunately while I fit most of the criteria for those sorts of schemes (first generation at uni, bad school etc) my mum is a nurse, and so we don't fall within that income bracket. I'm ok though. I got near enough the same grades as you so I hope I should be ok

I have an offer for 2012 and I'm starting at Sheffield in September. I was on an outreach scheme called soams, so if you are in the lowest financial bracket for parent income, first generation going to uni and have personal circumstances as well. They guarantee you an interview and give you a lower offer for ABB, so it's not the norm! Probably the only reason I got in on my first cycle are you applying this year?

I've just noticed you are a medicine applicant/student. You got an offer for ABB? You must be very good! Was this last application cycle?
