My messages-
yeah that article was really persuasive
and atm i just want to lose weight and burn calories so i'm doing cardio and compound exercises -
btw i bumped up most of those lifts by 5-10kgs
-
You are right, as I said in the thread for your goals and experience FB is the way to go.
Internet is full of BS. You'll learn to stop trusting it and do what works for you very quickly
Splits don't mean do a **** tonne of isolation alone. I run a 6 day split but the core of my routine is heavy compounds with isolation added in to increase volume without sending my CNS down the toilet. My goal isn't to get strong though, it's to get hyooooge.
But even if I did want to get strong I would split my training in order to focus on improving lifts and to address weak points. You can't do that stuff on a FB routine. -
there seems to be some contradictory messages on the internet - and my main aim is to lose weight which is why stickng to compound exercises is better
i dead lift 80kg and ive just started going to the gym
only 40 on squats
and 80 bench on the smiths machine at the gym
- but only 45 free weights
-
Squat/Bench/Deadlift, standard measure of strength.
FYI splits aren't rubbish. They've been proved time and again to be a more efficient way training for 90% of goals once a trainee is out of the 'total noob' phase. -
what lifts do you want to know
