I know you don't favor gay marriage. I asked why you don't. You are skirting around the question. The same legal rights would be the right to be legally married. Otherwise it isn't the same. And who is talking about churches? I am simply talking about civil marriage which requires no church or religion.

I don't favour gay marriage. So what? I favour giving gays the same legal rights as heterosexuals, but why now do they want to get married in churches etc?
