My messages-
I share the same view that tongues is not necessary for salvation. But the Holy Spirit is a part of worship and ,certainly the church I went to, gave equal weight to worship and teaching which is the best way.
I try my best to stand up for bible believing Christianity because so many Christians do not use the Word of God as their sole authority. This leads to them giving over to the wisdom of man, philosophy and science which contradicts the true gospel.
Here is a link to Dr Lloyd-Jones' sermons for free download. He was one of the greatest preachers of his time and his doctrine is solid. If you have time it would be very worth while to listen to those sermons, they last about an hour but when you listen you get hooked by the authority of the gospel and the Truth that is found in Christ. It's just a recommendation though
Some of them are from the 50s but are still extremely relevant.

Welcome to the TSR
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. -
I go to an independent Evangelical church. I've been to a couple of Pentecostal churches in the past but I've never really accepted their doctrine or style or worship. I prefer more traditional worship and I do not believe tongues are necessary for salvation. I also find that many Pentecostals focus their worship around the Holy Spirit rather than Jesus.
I've seen many of your posts and you seem to be a very knowledgeable brother. Please, continue to witness where necessary.
God bless

I go to the Free Church of Scotland. It's a Presbyterian Church, I don't believe all the same things as they do but they get most things right in my opinion. I used to go to a pentecostal church as well but when I moved a year ago there was not one in my area so I found the best church for biblical teaching and that's where I go now.
What Church do you go to? -
Hi
Nice to see a Bible-believing Christian on here! What kind of church do you go to?
God bless
