    haha that sounds cool
6  wow that's a lot! I do Maths, French and Politics and General Studies so it's not too bad
yeah exactly! my GCSEs weren't even that bad so I wasn't expecting them to be a problem, but I got the offer and that's all that matters!
    lol possibly yeah

Ha, yeah, my Schools weren't a lot like Enid Blyton but we did have a lot of fun at times. There was a lot of hard work too, but we went on great trips together and a lot of fun sleepovers and parties and stuff.

I did Law, English, Politics, Maths, History and Economics at A. They liked to push us. You?

That's great that you got past the "poor" GCSE line - a lot of people get told that's terminal when it isn't at all, it's all about how hard you are prepared to work, your commitment and focus.

I know, if you make it here we will probably see each other!

it's fun so long as it's challenging but I can do it..otherwise it's not so fun  aww good! what did you do for a-level?
ah wow, that's nice I think the main reason I didn't try to get into the local private school is because I don't think I'd cope with just girls all the time; they can be so annoying! XD although the Enid Blyton books make it sound like fun
yeah; I've been to 3! Student led tours during the Fringe, then the pre-application last year which was ok apart from being told I was unlikely to get in with my "poor" GCSEs and then the post-offer last month which was fun! Had a look around all the accommodation I was interested in then went to find people to ask questions; finally found out that EU studies is part of the Law school :')

Oh, glad you're finding studying fun, I really sweated my A Levs, got there in the end though!

Yeah, went to fee-paying schools - I was a day-boarder at the local girl's private school near where my family live in Cheshire. I also went to a really nice private Sixth near York, which was lovely.

Did you enjoy your Open Day at Edinburgh, what did you get up to?

yeah it's one of those cities that just has that "wow" factor every time  aww that's really good to hear! the social life does look really good there; seems to be a good variety! aww that's nice!
"bog standard comprehensive" it's pretty good I guess; results are above average and everything I'm guessing you went to a private school?

Oh, that's great, I really hope you make it - concentrate on those languages and all the other A level studies you are doing!

Edinburgh is fab, it's a beautiful city to live in and the Uni is really good. My studies are interesting and quite hard, but I find the course constantly stimulating. I have a good time with friends here, we enjoy the social life and at weekends we get away to the wonderful countryside in Scotland or to other places.

What sort of school do you go to?

yeah I've firmed a conditional offer for French, Spanish & EU Studies I wouldn't let it put me off; it's my dream university! It's just the reputation that the uni seems to have - even my teachers thought of it like that! Everyone seems really friendly though and from what all of you current/ex students are saying it's not an issue which is good even at school there's quite a mix so you're definitely right about that! How've you found Edinburgh?

Have you settled on Edinburgh, have you had an offer? I hope you come. Don't be put off by any of us "posh" kids, there are people from different social backgrounds at every university, it's part of the fun of it to mix and hear about other people's experiences. What course are you hoping to do?
