My messages-
Saw your thread about wanting to be a writer - there's a writer's forum I quite like. Everyone on there's loves to write, the majority are working on their own novels, though majority are unpublished. There's even room for feedback and loads of people who can tell you the ins and outs of publishing. Worth a look: http://www.writingforums.org/
Incidentally, write. The fact that you can see flaws in your older writing means you've improved. Pursue your first novel for all means, but know that very likely you'll revise it and probably even change it beyond recognition a few years later, because you'll improve. For now, don't worry about getting published - write write write and write to your heart's content. Never give up. The word is powerful and it's a gift to have such a skill - don't waste it. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your novel!
