When asked the reason why I was told that interview went well but there were other candidates with better qualifications. I know you feel! I had applied for social work and im on a reserve list at the uni I most wanted to go to! Its frustrating knowing that you did okay but people did better. You just have to think realistically.. is there a good chance I could get on this course? Nursing is really competitive and if it is something you really want to do pick one of your offers that would have been your second choice, then if you do get into Plymouth.. im not sure how it works but you might be able to back out of your firm choice.. but im not sure! However, on the weekends, these prices increase mostly.
There are some nice tourist attractions- Plymouth Gin, The Barbican(perfect in the summer), Plymouth pavilions which hold many concerts featuring some world class acts. There is also a theater too!

Its not far from Cornwall either, which is a great place to visit at the weekend. I did a foundation degree for the first 2 years and currently finishing of my final year at Plymouth University.
For my degree the final year is worth 70% and 30% is from the second year.

Now because I did a foundation degree, , the grade I finished with was based on the two years together and therefore I don't know how much just the second year alone was worth .

But my second year grades were as followed:
37% (Bad I know!)
58%
65%
60%
66%
67%
70%
73%
I am going to take a stab and guess my average was a straight 60% (just did a simple average, I could be completely wrong!)

The real question is , assuming I did receive 60% in my second year, and the final year equates 30% of that grade, which totals to 18% .. would this 18% simply be added on top of all the results I achieve in my final year.

I've tried to look at the student handbook on line and cant find it and I have no idea who to ask at the uni.

Phone Plymouth's admissions office and ask. Every university has a different entrance policy. You don't want to be told yes on this website by random people, apply and get a rejection with no way back and a wasted application.

I would think they would accept it, but you should always ask. When you phone an admissions tutor, get their name, who they are and what time and day you called. I'm considering this as an option and it's a toss up between Plymouth and Warsash Maritime Academy which is part of Southampton Solent uni. I've heard a lot about warsash and know a few people who study there. I don't know anyone at plymouth though.

What's the teaching like? Also, at Warsash the maritime students are fairly separate from everyone else, it's a separate campus. The uni run a find a home event where everyone for any reason who missed out on halls or just because there is simply not enough spaces and you dont want to go into overpriced unite accommodation. They do some get to know you games and give you a list of houses that are approved and available and with your group you look around and find your house. I found a 8 bed with 4 of us and the landlord had to fill the rest of the house , and groups from the other event joined us.
If you want to join a agency house as tempting as big houses sound think it though. practically 16 in one kitchen. 12s are common and I am loud fun non stop person and I got talked out of this lucky. 8 is good size 10 at a push. more people that you live with more chance there will be that messy one among you all. another tip look for a house with a few bathrooms, and ask the current tenants what the landlord is like and neighbours you want them to be students. If your up in mutl then they are more then likely to be however down in st judes and the barbican its more residential . Pick a close house time the walk to uni and think can I do this twice a day in the rain.

Thats awesome, but yer Inline and Ice skates are really similar, I used to roller blade a lot as well, ice skates do have a different feel to them, but for you it would just to a matter of getting used to the change.
But ive been emailing our Vice President of Sports here at the uni, and ive also been talking to exisiting teams around the country at other unis. So its kind of a slow process at the moment, as there isnt a whole lot of interest.
But thats great mate, il be starting my 2nd year in September and im here for 4, so theres pleanty of time.
