Yes it is. I suffer from atrocious short-term memory. I could be talking to someone about the weather, and then two minutes later, I would have forgotten what we were talking about, but then remember the conversation about twenty minutes after that. Weird stuff, but I have always been like that. So if I need to remember something, I either write it down or use my dictaphone.

All my gp stated was I have been suffering anxiety and depression for many years having severe effect or something and that management has proved difficult. Under the section I explained how it effected my memory concentration ability to interact etc

My baha doesn't work for me as we'll now and I don't think I will get another at audio appointment . I think they are leaning towards normal hearing aids.

I would need it for lecturers and not my own voice . On my course we have loads of lecturers.

It was rejected because of just a letter with listed conditions on. But now I have more detailed letter saying my hearing has got worse. Does dragon work on windows and also my word does not work as it was only free trial when I got laptop. I haven't been able to afford to get the software for word. I use the Uni word software through desktop anywhere which allows me to use my Uni desktop at home

This is harsh, but is that a good idea? That sounds a lot like me last year. You might scrape through uni, but then what? A string of short-lived jobs because you can't focus and get your act together?

It took around a month from date of my assessment until when I got my Quote Approval paperwork through from SFE (which also included Easter). It then took them two weeks from ordering my equipment, for them to come to deliver and set it up for me.

So I took the screening test (on the computer) which gave me a score of 'high risk' of having dyslexia in auditory recognition and 'medium risk' for visual recognition. I know it's not a diagnostic tool but it's quite a high indication. However, the bad news is that they can't do anything about it as I'm coming to the end of my degree. Feeling very frustrated that it was actually myself that thought something was wrong and not my tutors. I know dyslexia is a very broad condition and I don't think it's affected my degree classification too much, but I suppose I will always be wondering. Plus it's too late to get special circumstances for my upcoming (and final) exam.

No they won't. A full time student on DLA without any SFE funding can get ESA automatically.

I seriously doubt you will get a macbook for your DSA.

Can I just point out that your report details the recommendations made to your funding body to provide funding for these strategies. Its not an entitlement and the funding body can disagree with the assessors recommendations. If your funding body agree to the recommendations, they will then 'approve' the recommendations and you will then be supplied with the strategies. A lot of people on here talk about being 'entitled to' inaccurately, and it causes misunderstanding of the process.
