League tables are hardly reliable since there are major differences between each other. I don't know about Leeds but I chose Newcastle. The reason for that is Newcastle as a city has a great reputation as well as the university itself. It seemed like the perfect place to study for the 4-5 years of my life. Does anyone know if it is possible to take your own pictures during the graduation ceremonies?

I am thinking of bringing my uncle along with me to the graduation ceremony as he's a professional photographer and can do it for me free of charge rather than me having to pay extortionate prices to the university's selected photography company.

I'm not talking about Sunderland University, but university graduations generally.

All unis are struggling for student numbers nowadays, so they may be more open to transfers, though you may have to go into second year.

However, it's never going to be that freshers experience for you - even if you live in halls (and as a third year they'll probably drive you mad) you'd have to sacrifice your degree to do all the going out every night bit.

Are you sure you wouldn't be better off joining some new societies in York to meet new friends, and then go to Manchester if you want to do a postgraduate course?
