Why do women like horses?

For me, it's because of the brilliant relationship you form with a horse. You spend half the day with it so you get to know each other so well, and you generally trust each other totally and look out for each other. They are like your best friend, they will listen to you and always seem to understand how you feel and act accordingly, and make you laugh just with the funny wee things they do.

2 dogs- a Border collie and a collie cross. They're complete opposites, the collie is a bundle of energy who always wants to play (and never fails to join in when we sing Happy Birthday), whereas the collie cross is perfectly happy to just sleep or have his belly tickled :)

This^ not me but my house mates got some goldfish they had nowhere to hide so they were stressed and were in the coldest room in the house no wonder they died. Although I did my best leaving fish care leaflets around which seemed to annoy the girls a bit so I stopped and it was all ok again but still.

I was sitting at my desk in my spinnie wheelie chair, and I start feeling thirsty.
I roll the chair back pretty swiftly, completely unaware that my cat is sitting under the chair. I run over the poor thing's tail, ripping all of the hairs out where I ran over it and left a bit of a cut :( He let out a pretty loud yelp and hissed at me, but I picked him up and he started licking me so I think he forgave me instantly. Still feel bad about it though, took a couple of months for that hair to grow back fully...

No wonder he doesn't like to be picked up. This is a very stressful situation for a rabbit to live in.

My recommendations would be;
1) Get him neutered ASAP.
2) Contact a local rabbit rescue to discuss getting him a spayed female companion. They may also handle the bonding for you as they want the new girl to be happy in her new home.

As for not introducing rabbits who didn't grow up together... that is utter rubbish. I have two pairs of rabbits who were introduced as adults. Mixed sex pairs are very very often SUCCESSFUL as long as both the rabbits are neutered. :)

This is ridiculous. They will not bleed to death.
OP, if your rabbit doesn’t have anything that will wear their nails down then yes, they will need clipping. A set of clippers made for small dog nails will do. I find it easier to do with one person holding the rabbit and the other doing the clipping. If you rabbit is not good with handling then it may be best to go to your vet.

I also cannot stress the importance of going to a RABBIT SAVVY vet enough. There are a few rabbit internet forums around and you can ask there for recommendations of one in your area.

I was wondering if anyone had one and what they were like temperament wise etc.
Also If anyone knew of a breeder or anyone had some Small Munsterlander puppies for sale?

I have two bichons! :) My oldest is coming up to 9 and the youngest is 2. I have four dogs in total (a yorkie and a chihuahua as well) and can definitely say the bichons are the most human-orientated (in that they live to cuddle and people-please) of the group. :)

Fleas in your yard or can be a pretty tough thing to get under control because there are infinite places that fleas can hide and live.
If you have fleas in your yard were pretty much bringing fleas in your house every time you come in from the outside and I don’t know about you but I am outside quite often with my dogs.

I often get asked quite a bit more products you can buy to get rid of fleas in the yard. I generally start off focusing in on the garden area as most people with flea problems tend to have a garden area or an area specifically for plants. So start off there, in the garden.

This happened to my kitten when he was about that age, it was in exactly the same place but a bit smaller. It wasn't affecting his eating and drinking so we didn't take him to the vet and it healed up in a couple of weeks. If you want to be on the safe side though, you could take him to the vet. I'm sure he'll be fine :)

If it makes you feel any better, rest assured that Pets at Home adoption centre is a good bet. I've adopted some quite strange and 'special needs' little creatures from there in the past and loved them all, and know lots of other people do the same, so don't worry about someone taking her home. Absolutely do not offer her 'free to a good home' online or in newspapers, there are so many reasons why this isn't a good option.

If you don't have the time for her, it's probably best to let someone else take her home. It's a hard decision, but if you don't have the time for her then it's the right decision.

When my dog was a puppy she would steal my Babrie dolls and chew their limbs off... :erm:

For the past 10 years she's had an obsession with her rubber chicken toy.
She gets a new one every year and manages to tear it's head apart from it's body and pull out it's squeaker in less than five minutes.

My dog is a Jack Russell Terrier and I'm sure my dad will take good care of him. I guess it just kind of sucks since I won't be seeing him so often and I will not be there to take care of him. My mom and brother do like him, but they will not take him on walks and stuff like that. More so just provide company, let him outside, and fill his food when he needs to eat. It's only him at the house and he may be lonely for at least a few hours every day(~3-4), we have no other pets. Our neighbours all have pets so he will still see other animals every once in a while. I guess I think he's just going to become lonely and I don't want that to happen. I would be returning home once a month but I feel as though that it may be too little. I guess I'm just trying to find solace in the fact I'm leaving soon and want to ensure my little guy is just as happy or more when I am or am not here.

I watched a film called 'the cove' a couple of years ago. Shows how Japanese fishermen catch wild dolphins. The film is quite distressing to be honest.

I must admit, I did a dolphin swim in Australia a few years ago but after watching that film, I vowed never to visit any amusement park that housed wild dolphins or any other animals.

You're applying an inherent value to 'wild' that it simply doesn't have. Living with humans is an extraordinarily successful survival strategy for dogs. As long as there are humans, dogs will never need to worry about going extinct, or even having their numbers threatened. They have access to human technology which allows them to live in any climate in the world, and If we ever expand beyond this planet, you can bet we'll be taking dogs with us.

If you're playing with her and putting her in her ball most nights, then that is sounding good.

What more do you think you can do to show your family you're looking after her properly? Is there more you can do, like play with her in the mornings, or doing more to clean up/keep things tidy?

my little fella was teh same when i got him, he was very quiet but wouldnt leave me alone, curled up in my lap and went to sleep most of the time.

Now four and half months later - he is much better, still affectionatebut likes his own space as well

You can go to university and have pets, however, most ON CAMPUS accommodation doesn't allow it. However, off campus can be a different matter entirely pending on the owners of the property.

If he is really THAT big on animals where he can't live without them, I would recommend off campus.
However, a pet is a BIG responsibility given you will be having lectures, going out etc... and it will be on its own for a good chunk of the day.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THAT LAST POINT!
