The right side! You had to work out the total costs and then from that take your costs away from sales to get profit. Then take your budgeted away from your actual. It was a positive number, however adverse because the profit was much lower than they had budgeted for.

I got my paper back so my teacher could look at it and they had given me 3/6 on a question I was meant to get 5/6 on which was really annoying because I was something like 2 UMS off an A. It was too late to send it back though :(

Increased unemployment - consumers will have less money in general and will be less inclined to purchase branded products because they tend to more more expensive. If unemployment increased then the general income is lower, people are more likely to buy cheaper substitutes such as ASDA own brand Jam (APP)

Since they were split into 6 markers each you didn't have to evaluate, only had Knowledge, Application and Analysis

' Analyse two influences on Divine Chocolates pricing decisions ' (8marks)

One influence on Divine's pricing decisions would be that the company is paying premium price for cocoa bean supplies. This is a cost of production which will shape pricing decisions. For example, profit, Divine will have to price their product higher than competitors to gain the same profit. However, Divine is a not-for-profit company with a non profit making philosophy, this is a second influence on pricing decisions, meaning their objective is not to make as much profit as possible. However this doesn't mean profit is ruled out, their philosophy will mean they are not too bothered on profits, however their profits have been used to build schools so there will definately still be a margin for profit. Returning to the question, paying premium prices and Divines non profit philosophy are two influences on the pricing decisions.
