petroleum engineering anyone? i applied for accommodation a while back and hoping to get langstone because im bringing my car as i live about 260 miles away and would rather drive than get like 4 different trains, im also 22.

Don't go to Portsmouth! The place is horrible, there are plebs everywhere and crime is extremely high. I wouldn't worry about changing courses because they will literally accept anybody who can walk , so you should be fine there. Your degree is a non subject (no offence), so it may be in your interest to apply to a proper course or an apprenticeship or something. Hope this helps. Also there is a fishy odour, probably as a result of skates in the docks. This cannot be avoided and makes it hard to sleep in all of the halls.

Yeah it is, but in second and third year you specialise so the groups aren't as big. The first term there's quite a lot of lectures and labs, the timetable isn't the same for every week which I think is good because we do more work at the beginning and then the hours decrease significantly unlike other courses who have a set timetable for the whole year. Looking at my timetable for the first term around 15 hours, more if you attend the graduate skills unit lectures which I never turned up to since I didn't need to. You have a unit which is all lab(10 practicals). We did 2 practicals one day a week every 2 weeks. Second term definitely has less hours than first term! :) 3rd term, well I'll be starting that soon but I think it's just revision. :) hope that answered your questions :)

well at least thats good , the part where you can choose what type of room you want too. but is there a part for choosing a single room ? like not sharing ?


at least rees hall its not that far , it can be a form of exercise
