It's a law reference - it's kind of "anything to do with the law of tort", where tort covers quite a wide range of stuff (negligence, occupiers' liability, that kind of thing). "Tortious" is used as an adjective ("tortious liability") and is pronounced "TOR-shuss", in case you ever need to know - a lot of Americans tend to pronounce it "TOR-tee-uhss".

I was making out like my view was somehow objectively correct, as if it was a natural fact. For the record, I hate fake tan, it's disgusting, and I love that my partner doesn't wear it and sometimes doesn't wear make up.

16? Yeah that's about the age people would join TSR anyway, a lot of people join when they're finishing their GCSEs/starting A-levels (or at least I did). I don't think this site is that sexualised compared to some other ones out there, but yeah some of the stuff on Health&Relationships would be quite dangerous. To be honest I think turning into a massive snob is what worries me most about TSR.
Thanks for answering, I was just interested as to how a parent using this site views it.
