Hi Asriel,
Thanks for the info about your background. Would you consider health assistant positions as relevant work experience for the clinical route? Will the experience (although slightly irrelevant) give me a platform to apply for assistant psychologist jobs in the NHS? I know the assistant psychologist position is difficult to obtain. I only have experience working as a ward helper at South London Healthcare NHS trust.
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi,
I noticed that you're a clinical psychologist.
I'd like to know the route you went through to get to this position, i.e. what work experience and degree qualifications did you have before taking up the DClinPsych course?
Thanks

Hello, i have just read your post in the ''How do you become a lecturer/professor?'' thread. I am currently studying biochemistry and i am thinking about becoming a lecture. I read that i should take every oppertunity to publish even during my undergrad, but i was wondering how this would be possible ? would i have to ask a lecturer of mine ? could you please inform me on this and also the other prospects that one could go into with a science phD.
Thank you

Hey i noticed you knew quite a bit about clinical psychology.
Im planning on starting my psychology undergrad course this year (hopefully) and i was wondering if you could recommend me what type of work experience would increase my chances of eventually getting onto a clinical psychology course. I am aware many people start work experience after they finish their degree, although im also aware that getting this work experience is also very competitive. Therefore, I would like to do as much work experience as possible to enhance any application i make, but have no idea what sort of work experience would be of any use. If you could give me advice that would be really helpful thanks.

Hi Dr Asriel,
Just wanted to add from my last message, given demands of PhD and intense decade of education, I'm currently taking a break from everything in order to relax, see friends and have some fun! I've always had an interest in research and health psychology, so its not all about aspiring for a career in clinical psychology! Elizabeth
