  1. Thanks. I'll check it out
  2. yes and despite you claim of a' lack of time' you have spent 3 hours messaging me. Like i said ive not really the interest in simply engaging a pointless conversation with just one person - if you have knowledge you can impart that you think i dont already know, feel free to post it ont he threads, thats why we are all here for after all - i note int he threead discussing islamic invasions and colonising of asia and persia - you have a completly confused idea of what actually happened- so already i query on your historical understanding as compared to what an islamist would tell you happened. so thats it for the messgaing from me - if you want to discuss (or learn) you can do so from me on the thread.
  3. "I'm certainly not the one who said they have an ''average IQ of 2 points'' and I find it insulting."

clearly im not the one who said that either- so either you are misquoting what i said or have the memory of a goldfish = either way it would be boring to try have a conversation with you.

like is said beofre im not really interested in exchanging PMs with you, it seems creepy thing to do, i dont know why you want try and 'reach out' to individuals here when you are ona public debate forum where your statements are open to public scrutiny - that is why id dont think you arnt keen to engage ina y specific thread topic.
if you knowledge is sound and my points are 'typically crude' or 'easily refuted' on a thread- please feel free to refute. im sure that would make quite a few tsr users ahppy, especially the ones that cpuldnt come up witht he answers to my posts. i note you conceded not to even comment on my point of historical islamic traditions, origin of the kabaa etc. theese are topics that have come up on various threads, where muslims have thrown a tantrum becuase they ddint like the facts being highlighted, ive no interest in floating along in blissfull ignorance, so pls feel free to track back my post history and post reply to my easily refutable comment .
  4. "Dismissing the Muslim community has being stupid is not exactly a sign of great objectivity or anything else but prejudice. "
it wasnt me making that assumption- it was your words that" 99% dont have a clue about correct scholarly interpretation of islam" - pretty much the whole of islam
As i stated before try engaging a debate on one of these threads where we discuss the origins of islamic rituals, the accuracy of islamic science ( and its origins) the history of the compliaton of the quran, the military campagins of mohammed, relationhip with non islamic peoples/civilisations etc etc. Then i can samole your 'higher level' of knowledge - if you are as smart as you claim you wll either change my point of view or will see facts prove otherwise.
  5. re point 1.
he may know his islamic history, its unlikely that will reduce my own knowledge on the subject - history is a fairly lucid and logical subject, unlike readin the quran, in that if an event is historical fact we will both know it to be true. Ie the historical facts are that the Kabaa in mecca was not in origin an islamic construct, it was used by pre-islamic pagans as has been recorded by historians of the time. Im sure he would agree with me on that. Unfortunalty the dimwits who cant accpet this idea will consult 'islamic scholars' on those other sites and come back with some idiotic non-historic drivel about abraham, noah, adam and eve etc that would have been copied straight from the old testament into the quran anyway. My reference was to the fact that reading the quran is not an academic acheivment- arguing what its contradicting and incomplete edicts mean has been made into a profession by' islamic scholars' becasue muslims require clarity when they are being told how to live their lives like sheep

    2. see above largely - if you want to discuss points such as this representing the muslim community that has an iq of more than 2 digits, why not join me in these various threads you refer- i have hardly seen you make comment on the subjects, rather than btichiness and personal critisism. If you can disprove various recorded fact with equally proven fact to make you point and explain why you admantly hold the views you do, id be happy to hear it. Im not one for endless PM back and forth, nor will i be downloading strange online attachments form you sorry, so would ask you not to bother continuing either.

Edit - "The Islamic world emphasised the interdisciplinary approach in academia, as did the non-Islamic world at that time, to some extent, because each discipline informs Qur'anic interpretation"

And perhaps on a relevant thread you can explain how the quran has influenced the discpline of nuclear physics.
  6. "To be of ''PhD'' level as a researcher in the Islamic sciences, it takes about 11-12 years in total, in large parts of the world. "

regardless, i could study the life and times of the Power Rangers for 12 years, it would nt afford me any respect in worthwhile circles.

"I've little to say about 'YouTube scholars' - 99% of them aren't of scholarly level, although tragically a lot of people think they are. Your ignorance of the great Islamic legal theorists, philosophers, theologians "

now you are tryin to brach off into a different subject - you started trying to justify the status of quranic scholars. Tell me what theologists or philosophers are regarded as great that have 'legendary' original ideas ( ie not copied from the greeks persians and indians like islamic scientiests tried) and secondly what did any of that owe to islam?

"You enjoy picking on teenagers who copy and paste out of their relative ignorance, but I'm not one of them. There is another world of Islamic discourse which you've no reason to know, and which 99% of Muslims have little engagement with."
Identifying their ignorance isnt picking on them, its doing them a favour in most cases. So if only 1 % of muslims only engage at this level, then it is a fringe of islam rather than the norm
  7. we are on a debate forum right now - surely its perfectly logical to put forward your point on the forum??
  8. dont really see why ou can post it on a thread and leave it there, you wouldn have to monitor or respond to it
  9. LOL thanks buddy, but generally i dont jsut download random files of the internet
Why not just knock up a thread and post this.
  10. i was hoping, you would least make an attempt at answering the below..
