  1. Hello!
I have bipolar disorder (type II) and Aspergers Syndrome. When I start at university it will be 100% necessary for me to have a laptop as my handwriting is illegible and my organisation is poor; I write things in the wrong order, or write down to much which makes reading from handwritten notes a nightmare; I come up with a million irrational filing systems which results in important papers being lost. I have used an Mac for the last 5 years, as using others brought me to tears. The systems wouldn't work, they'd lose work, shut down without notifying me and they were over complicated. After using laptops until to age of 15 I invested I'm an ex display MacBook. The only trouble I've had was the battery and RAM, as it was left on charge all day in the store and damaged due to excessive use. Returning to a non apple system makes me very anxious (I don't do change well. Starting university is going to bring a lot of stress exacerbated by my disabilities, and therefore it would be invaluable for me to be able to use a computer system I know and trust). From your experience, will this make a difference when assessed for DSA? My computer is everything, I use one in exams, to study, to make notes, to revise - everything. I get anxious and obsessional about ridiculous things (like this for instance, I have my assessment in a few days and its all I can think about) and when my mood swings out of control it can make things 100x worse. I know MacBooks on DSA are a controversial, and if I'm denied I will ask if the money they would have will go towards one. I just want to know whether or not you think I'd have a chance getting a MacBook Air as its lightweight, small, easy to carry and I trust it, but it will be difficult to fund it with all the things I'm going to have to buy in preparation for when I move in, e.g a bike, utensils, bedding etc etc. I'm too I'll to work at the moment so getting a job to pay for on isn't an option.
    I'm sorry if I've rambled!
  2. Anders Brevik was not overly religious- he has even admitted this. Gunpowder plot........ carried out in the name of Christianity? Nope- political, not religious. It is just the case that religion played more of a role in politics back then. KKK were not terrorists- they were murderers and did not carry this out in the name of Christianity. A lot of the blacks they murdered were also Christian! I just looked up "Army of God"- they are probably the only one I agree with you on.
  3. Don't know if the quote worked but I left you a message.
  4. How do you go about answering questions that ask (in 10 markers) e.g.' Utilitarianism is the best religious ethic to use when approaching the issue of genetic engineering' Discuss?

    Do you use case studies?

Do you talk about the different types of Utilitarianism and then dicuss why preference (as an example)might be good for like theraputic cloning and give a case study example and perhaps why Kantian thics might be too rigid?

Thanks, I hope you can help me a little. I get the gist ish but just need some closure.
sory for the spelling errors in the other mesage
