How hard is it to get internships in finance?
Is it possible to ask around to any firms and ask for like a Christmas internship in the first year ?

did you do any previous internships in banking and stuff?

Just wondering about you buying a wardrobe for investment banking, just wondering how you got in if you dont mind ?

Do you have any idea if it's possible to get conditional offers from universities, conditional on getting a first, if you don't have a first at the moment? If you have teachers who can write reference letters and back you up and say that they believe you will get a first class honors, that is. I know the universities ask you what you think you'll graduate with, so I'm thinking maybe that would be possible. I didn't want to nag about it in the thread so I figured I'd just ask you directly, you seem to know a lot about this stuff. thanks in advance

To work, eventually, a few years away from it yet though. I'd like to get involved with the civil service or political system there. Try to help improve things.
