  1. Oh. I saw in the wiki a link to a guy called Roger Kirk and I didn't think it was you. I thought you may have just got R.Kirk's member ID (you know that number that each user gets for thier profile) and that's why.

    I know or else you would be WO :smug:
  2. Oh..... I never knew your name was Roger Kirk lol (your username anyway )
  3. Were you Roger Kirk? :lolwut:
  4. Thank you

    Today is my last day in the TSR until Monday 25th July. Please be aware that if you quote me or otherwise get in touch with me over this time I might not be able to response until after I return. You may see on the site at times over the next week, but I won't necessarily have time to look in to anything.

    So please do ensure that another member of the Admin team (especially CJ and fleur de lis) are made aware if something is very important and needs looking at before I return.

    I'm hoping for a nice relaxing week and to come back all refreshed an full of engery. If you're interested in what I'll be doing, I'm visiting London for a couple of days, going to visit the registrar in preparation for getting married later this year and also spending several days helping out my local church in their annual community action week. They help out local schools, care homes and community centres in need of support through practical projects including painting, gardening and general repairs.
  6. Oh you're 28
  7. Saw the heron outside Wentworth yesterday
  8. Please be sensible...how old are you?
  9. Age 88 ???
  10. What do the numbers 88 represent?

    About me
    Hello.

    I'm one of the Admins on TSR. My official title is 'Product Manager', which basically means I'm involved with taking a new idea about either The Student Room or Coursework.Info and researching it (perhaps with the help of the site members) to decide the best way to proceed. I'll then work with our developers (Gossamerthreads) who'll implement the idea and finally be involved with at the testing, where again you guys might need have a part to play too.

    If there are any site performance issues or bugs on the site, then I'm likely to be the person working with our developers to sort them out.

    I've previously worked on several other aspects of TSR including being the community manager where I worked more closely with the moderators and members on TSR, in charge of setting up and optimising the adverts, which pay to keep the site running and also doing the customer support where I answered the emails we get sent in by people about both TSR and our other websites, such as Coursework.Info.

    I first became a member on TSR way back in 2005. Since November 2006 I was a moderator in the Study Help section until I was offered a job with Acumen PI (the company who runs TSR).

    I feel really lucky to be able to have this job where I'm able to help shape TSR so it can be the best student resource out there. Ever since I first became a member on the site TSR has been something special and I aim to work with everyone from the other guys in the office to all the members to keep improving TSR so it offers the best community, interaction, resources and functionality for all students to get the most out of the site.

    You'll hopefully see me around the site quite a bit, but more often than not I'll be posting in About TSR, Dev and Bugs and Ask a Moderator - the areas where you guys can ask for help and put forward suggestions about the site.

    A little quote...
    Something so easy to forget when things may be tough or not going so well:

    So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
    I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
    (Isaiah 41:10)

    Remember this and take strength from it. God is always with you.
