We spoke a while back, and I had a couple more questions for you about Geology at Southampton. First, what and where are the Fieldwork destinations? I understand it may kind of depend upon optional modules etc, but wondered if you could give me a brief outline of the Fieldwork destinations etc, and the Second question is, what is the expected contact time per week in Uni in the First 2 years? And depending, once again, upon chosen modules, would the contact time be normally over 5 days, or are there days when study time would be at home rather than on Campus. I thought about contacting Ian Harding for a sample of a first year timetable, but I wanted to check it out with you to see if you could help in the first instance?

I have an offer for MSci Geology at Southampton, and I wonder if you could help. I'm a mature student, so for me, everything is about job prospects at the end of my Degree. I wonder if you could tell me the kind of industry links Southampton has, whether it be at home or abroad, and if most Geologists tend to find good jobs after graduating? And if its not too personal, what kind of salaries are graduates from Southampton experiencing in their new careers?
