  1. Hello, I am a Year 12 student with ambitions to study Veterinary Medicine. I am visiting Cambridge on Thursday to get a feel for the city and hopefully some of the university. I have never been before and have no connections to Cambridge at all. I was wondering how open the university was to visit, especially seeing how this is around exam season. Do you have any recommendations of where to visit, or tips? Thank you for any help (I'm a little confused/excited/nervous about visiting)! Kirsty.
  2. ah thats good Hopefully the airports will stay open for me to even get there :L

Well thanks for all your help - tis really appreciated
  3. Ah thank you Iv no idea what room im actually staying in, but interviews are in room N3A and J5, both Memorial Court. I hope your like shown where to go? I dont fancy getting lost ahah
  4. hey you have no idea how much you are calming me down haha!!

I feel a lot better now that i know that iv got pen and paper, and the fact that you can just choose easy values is great!! I was worrying that I didnt know the volume of water in the human body etc :L

Thats also quite good news about the interviewers, and the fact that the interview stands for about 80% of their decision. Iv got Dr Holmes and Dr Reading first off, and Dr Gibson and Dr Edwards for my last one. No women - but im slightly consoled by the fact that iv got a Reverend in there, surely he cant be too intimidating! Do you think he's on the panel because im from a catholic school? Id love some ethical questions

How long do the interviews last for, approximately?

    Claire
  5. Hey Thanks for getting back to me

That sounded ok til you got to the bit about mental calculations...is it frowned upon if you ask them for certain details that you dont know in order to help you answer the question? Also, would you suggest that i sort of "think out loud" in order to let them see my thought process?

My interview is on Wednesday (12.00 and 15.00), but im staying over at the college on tuesday night as im flying down from Scotland Iv sort of researched my Interviewers a bit - do they tend to ask you questions relating to their specialist field? Also (sorry so many q's) what are the average BMAT scores of the people on your course? I did really quite bad in mine (4.9, 4.6, 3.5A) and would prefer to know now what my chances are with those scores: i'l be less nervous if i can look at my interview as a practise for others, then enjoy it more haha! So optimistic :L
  6. Hey Its Claire Watson here, applying to Clare College to read VetMed??

I was just wondering if you could perhaps give me a heads up as to the level of difficulty / types of questions that I can expect at interview? Also, are the questions based upon our current year of study, or previous years that we have already gained our qualifications in? Thanks Im worrying quite a bit :L
