    Hi,

The Belfast office is mid sized, around 200 people work here. Dublin office is much bigger, around 1000 or so. The Belfast office has good atmosphere about it, generally the trainees go out once a month or so thanks to the sports and social club, which means KPMG normally foot the bill. The workload in audit can vary a fair bit, but generally its very fair. You get time of in lieu of any overtime worked. In tax I work a pretty standard 9-5 week. Dublin is definitely busier.

I havent heard much in the way of transfers between offices, but I would say that it does happen as a few people in tax have recently been placed in the dublin office.
  6. Hi Gr3yfoxxx,

I noticed a post of yours in the Finance and Accounting thread and was wondering if you could answer a few questions on KPMG (in particular the Belfast office) for me if possible?

How do you find the Belfast office? General things like the people, the culture etc, even is it a large office? I would be going into audit, and I know you're in Tax, so if you had any general idea of the kind of hours people in the audit department work aswell that would be great. Also, would you have any comparisons between the Belfast office and other locations from dealings with colleagues? I would kind of assume Dublin would be the busiest/craziest work load with the regional offices all being comparible maybe?

Finally, do you know if transfers between offices in KPMG are difficult to come by? Like, have you ever heard of people transferring office from say Galway audit to Belfast audit during their training contract if it was requested for a legitimate reason?

Thanks for any insight you can give at all.
