Hi Beffnee,
My name is Richard and I saw your post on "Which of these trips sounds best?" about your time in Africa, and was really hoping you could tell me a bit more about it!
I'm on a gap year at the moment and beginning to plan my travels for the rest of the year and your experiences sound like exactly what I had in mind.
I'd be very grateful for anything you have to tell me!
Some of the things I was particularly wondering about...
What was the community project like compared to the travelling? How did you organise it and who did you go with? Did you have a particular highlight? What sort of budget do you think I'll need for 6 weeks - 2 months of something similar?
Obviously the money depends a lot on what you do, I was just hoping for a rough figure. Some people have said Botswana etc. are really expensive countries without much justification - would you agree?
Happy holidays!
Best wishes,
Richard

At least you got through it, and even if it doesn't top any of your lists you can say you've read it! I enjoyed seeing Jane at school and see her have the chance to grow, I also did not see the crazy lady in the room coming either, let alone her dying at the end, (though I really wanted her too!) I was chuffed for her that she found some cousins, but did find sections of this whole bit really long and slow! I knew she would go back to see Mr Rochester, but I thought he would die after he saw her, I really didn't think it would be a proper love story! It was definitely cute, and she deserved it. Hehe I sound like a loveydovey weirdo, but I did think it was cute! I'm glad you got through it!

Hey I just wondered how you found Jane Eyre in the end? I finished it on hols and absolutely loved it. Admittedly there were a few 'slow' narrative areas, but otherwise, I found it really enjoyable! Hope it got better for you!

i don't even know their names yet lol! I might ask my land lady on weds if she can give me their email addresses so i can get to know them or their facebook profiles so i can stalk them! I know one of the guys is american but that doesnt really give me any indication of what hes like as a person. Ah thats kool, we should unite with all of our house mates and go for an epic drinking session (not that im a huge binge drinker or anything) i just want to actually enjoy myself this year
