Hiya, yeah jan exams were fine The sciences seem on track looking at UMS scores so far should easily be able to get at least As comes august, however english is a what has me worried atm. I've always had my heart set on medicine but if I fail to get an A in eng, then I'll have to reconsider my options. I tend to ace the mock class exams with full marks on most occasions but in the real exam fail to obtain above a low B. How are you doing? x
Haha I was giving their frst album another listen a couple of days ago <3 x
Yeah I guess you're right though, most people recommend I just continue with the maths if I must since I probs be done with it in Jan. Then after my uni place and exams are sorted (around march I presume) I'll be able to give my sole attention to the other stuff I've planned xx
Yeah I can't wait and got loads planned! I want to volunteer in Africa and also pass my driving test considering I failed over the summer and also get a job to accumalute a little cash!
Haha actually Katy Perry was awesome, JLS..meh although they were nice lads and I hugged Marvin
I plan to start out with acoustic and see how things go and perhaps later upgrade to electric xx
It is one of the things I wish to do during my gap year
Yeah, Scorpions I'm not too familiar with all their work but I've heard a few of their songs, like rock you like a hurricane and wind of change etc.
I'm not aware of any good forthcoming gigs this year. Last year I went to download, and also evanescence and mcr (as well as Katy Perry, jls and Drake to where my friends dragged me!) xx
Ah cool, u play guitar I myself wouldv'e loved to learn but have left it to late.
Yeah I'm not a fan of full on screamo either. Kerrang mainly just the play the very mainstream bands such as muse, lp, mcr including the v.annoying nickelback and all time low. Last week when I tuned in, coincidentally it was the same evanescence song that played the 5 times x
I'm sure u will! Ikr, it isn't exactly 'fun' to work ur ass off 24/7.
Yeah I do occaisionally, but kerrang is more my thing haha
my fave bands from the classical era are probs black sabbath, iron maiden, and led zepplin, not sure if metallica counts there <3
Been to any gigs lately?
I'm not a hardcore 30stm fan anylonger, but I've met them once, it was so amazing! In november I also hugged amy lee after they played xx
Thanks, I've had a look at the website and it does have plenty of past q's for OCR too.
There's not much content to cover in chem, it's mainly about application and luck since the difficulty level of papers varies considerably over the series imo. I'm actually a lot more prepared for these jan exams and have done more revision than I have ever before in my life, especially for bio. Haha don't consider yourself a 'bad' example, I think it's inspiring that people with a tendency to procrastinate can indeed make it
Anyways, I wish you all the best in med school x
Procrastination has overtaken my life unfortunatley then I only come to regret it later. In secondary school I came with good results even though my tactics consisted of chillaxing all the way through, except the night before the exam I'd do some intense revision (ontop of the classwork etc). People and my teachers warned me that this is especially impractical for college but I failed to listen and now hate myself for being a bit conceited and thinking I wouldn't need to work as hard as we only study 5 subjects compared to 13 at gcse. Yeah I have 9A*s but I think applying through A2B would maximise my chances. xx
