Errrrm, it was a while ago so I don't remember exactly, but it wasn't a long interview. I couldn't tell you how important it was to my application either to be honest, sorry for being so hopeless. The best people to ask are probably the admissions team themselves, but I think that the interview could only aid your application, and they probably wouldn't hold it against you if you didn't interview as well for whatever reason. Wasn't too formal, quiet chat on why Chemistry at Southampton, a brief probing of my knowledge, and generally a pretty comfortable experience from what I remember. It was a bit of a relief actually as naturally I was expecting a terrifying interrogation. Are you applying there this year?

Hi, I'm not really the right person to ask as I never went to the open day and didn't have an interview :P, though people have generally been saying it's quite informal and relaxed. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

It was amazing! The chemistry labs were awesome, and the tutors were actually really funny (and brutally honest ). Oh that's a shame I think it's kind of unfair that private school pupils can't go to many summer schools, probably cause you're all too clever :P I want to but I can't link it in anywhere, so I'm struggling to put it in atm. WOW! How was it? Fun I hope!

Ahh amazing, how was it? It isn't very technical but I have to read it more to tell you though. Ah that is fair enough! Well, someone told me that people from private schools couldnt go to summer schools so I couldn't really go! But I saw that we both got copper awards in our cambridge chemistry challenge, will you put that in your persona lstatement? I also had work experience at southampton university.

I went to the UNIQ summer school! Is the magic molecules very technical or relatively easy to understand? I wasn't allowed because it was £20 and my dad said it costs too much :P Which I think if fair enough, lol. And I have started all but haven't even finished one, good to see other people are the same Have you done anything else like summer schools, competitions etc for chemistry? My personal statement it quite empty
