  1. Ok, good to hear from someone who didn't take it to 4th year! But if you don't regret taking it either I think I might give it a go. Sounds really interesting to me. Thanks for the info!
  2. Hey, I was wondering if you could help me: I've got an offer for natsci for next year and I have to choose my modules - the one I'm debating is materials. It seems to have a bad rep but I don't know why. Do you do materials, and if so can you explain? Cheers
  3. hey, sorry to bother you! i saw that your doing natsci physical at cambridge, which is what i'm aiming for, and im currently in the process of choosing my A-levels. ive chosen maths, physics, chemistry, and english lit. English lit is the one im worried about because i chose it as a kinda break from the sciences and obviously because i enjoy it a lot, but would it go against me when applying for the course? should i have further maths instead?
    THANK YOU!
  4. Hello!
Very sorry to bother you, but I se you do NatSci (Physical) at Cambridge. I'm thinking about applying there this year, although I'm *very* undecided between there and Oxford Physics. What made you decide Cambridge is for you? And also, I am very fond of maths, do you think the NatSci course has just as much maths as the Oxford course?
    Thank you in advance!
  5. Hi there

So I got an interview for NatSci (Physical) at Downing and I'm soooo happy because I didn't think I'd get one. But now I'm really nervous! I'm not good at interviews but I want to prepare as best I can to give myself the best chance. I saw that you study Physics at Downing and was wondering if you would please help me with a few questions:

    1. Can you give me some common questions I can prepare for? I know the most common will be "Why Cambridge?" and "Why Natural Sciences?" but what others? I know discussion of technical questions is not allowed but I hope general question discussions is ok.

    2. Do you think I need to reread all the books I mentioned in my PS? I know it will be very academic so I'm not sure if they'll even bother much with books. One book I have won't take too long to re-read but the other is 500 pages with big pages. I don't want to spend ages reading that when I could prepare in better ways so do you think it will be enough to read only a few chapters from that book?

    Help is greatly appreciated
  6. Hey, hope second year is treating you well
  7. Hey You're at Downing studying Physical NatSci? I'm applying to (well, I've sent it off, but my school have a tight grip on it and haven't sent it yet!) Downing to study Engineering do you like it there?
