Hope all is well. I was going through the "Official Summer 2012 & Off Cycle Internship Applications" thread and saw your post about getting the fidelity equity research AC. Firstly congrats on that, good work! I was wondering if you could maybe tell me about the AC process, more specifically the stock picking exercise, as i have an AC coming up for Equity Research and any bit of information with regards to the fidelity AC would be useful.

Hi, I noticed your post on the asset management thread. I am also at Birmingham University, looking to get into asset management, or equities research.

I have had a couple of phone interviews for equities research, one with ubs, I thought I performed well, particularly on the more technical questions, but I didn't advance to the next stage. I have no relevant work experience, although I have been investing in stocks for a couple of years now.

I have a phone interview with M&G this week, was wondering if you could offer any advice? I'm in my second year, I got a first last year and am currently studying towards the CISI level 3 certificate in investment management.
