Fair point. But unless something amazing comes along I won't be upgrading until I finish uni in June anyway, if I get a job soon after finishing then I can save for a few months and then get the best of both worlds. It will just be a long and annoying wait in the mean time

Looks like I'll need to budget for a new bag then, I can't see mine taking all the kit a need.
I've been considering the 50D as it is more affordable and I could then spend more on the lenses which is what counts, but does it only manage 3fps with RAW files?
I'd like a 1D, but I don't want one that is too old and I'm unsure if the older image processor and potentially less usable photographs at a range of ISO settings will hold me back.

It's unlikely I will be upgrading any time soon, the cost of a 70-200 f4 and a body alone is too high until I finish uni, and ideally I'm after a 70-200 f2.8. Do all Canon L series lenses come with weather protection?

How much of your kit can you fit into that camera bag, and what kit do you have? Thinking of upgrading to Canon given they seem to be better for sport photography.
Not sure what shorter zooms to look for though. Wish 5D mark 2 bodies were cheaper, but that may come soon if the rumoured mark 3 is released next year. Otherwise I may have to look for something else.

Some pictures have now been released of the new Defender concept car. I do not like it at all. Far too much expensive body work you wouldn't wantto get scratched, bent etc
