Not sure what you're confused about but I'll explain why I support 'em anyways:
1)One reason is because I was born and raised in Chelsea. Prior to that I supported Manchester United briefly because they were really good lol, but then went for Chelsea. Loved how they players they had and how interesting they were to watch and so I stuck with 'em. Supported em for ~10 years I reckon.
2)I was never really concerned with the NBA until ~2 years ago when my cousins got me into it - and they all support Lakers so I was influenced to support 'em too. (no bandwagon)
3)Regardling american football, I started watching games but at the time I didn't really know which team to root for. Liked the style of play of both the cowboys and the giants (and yes it was before the superbowl) but ultimately, after seeing a game live whilst at a school trip, I went with the giants. I guess I also had some influence from a friend who also supported them too.
