LOL, this is my exact worry - I stress that a gap year might just kill me, and what will i do when everyone else gallavants off to buy stethoscopes and save lives and be uber cool people without me... (I realise this is nothing like reality, at least not at medschool, but in my current omg-exam-stress state of mind, I tell myself that it is) A lot of people say that, and it's nice to hear, because it reminds me that a gap year isn't the end of the world, as i'm pretty convinced that I'm not going to get in first time round.

Hahaha, I will really try to! I watched the C4 Documentary on the Life of a Nurse or whatever it was called, and well, picking up faeces that a sex offender through on the floor down the hall way sounds JUST like my cup of tea - haha, I'm kidding, I think i'd enjoy getting to know the bottom-of-the-rung system, even if it is shovelling a mountain of **** out the way. Plus it helps that sex offenders aren't the only people that come to hospitals - god help us if it was.

Well, its peak exam season, i am a bag of stress. I got AAB in my exams, retook the scraped A (Biol1) and B(Chem1) these past couple of days, and both times i don't know why i do it, but i have to look at the unofficial mark scheme online. It's like looking at a car crash, you know you shouldn't look, you know it'll do you know good anyway, but you just have to see how bad the damage is. Got RS tomorrow morning, and what am i doing? I'm sat on my fat arse, procastinating on the student room, pissing on my dead body by looking at unofficial mark schemes, writing messages which are far too long for public viewing to someone that I want to be, (a successful, hilarious medical applicant like yourself) - what is my life, i ask you, what the hell, is my life?

What about you? Tell me it gets better, tell me AS summer is the best thing ever.

Just wanted to give you a shout and congratulations on your offer! I'm a bit of stalker, watching that 2012 reapplicant thread, when i'm a 2013 applicant, and I just had to say thank you, for making me laugh so often with your comments, for reminding me that a gap-years arent the end of of the world, and most of all, that the dream is possible. Good luck with all, massive thank you for everything.

P.S If you do not continue to use TSR as a medstudent, I will not be impressed :P LOYALTY bro.

Haven't done it yet :/ Still waiting on a reference from a teacher whose email address they got wrong So apparently as soon as thats trhough I can go and get started doing training and stuff. But I think its just a few days here and there, and I just have to do it all within three months of starting, so I don't think I need it all done before I can start hopefully!
