Hey I've been stalking the Reading boards and saw you write "...if there's any questions you have about the course..." so I'm taking you up on it. Even though you were talking to someone else...

Basically I want you to impart all your wisdom onto me about first year.
• Where are most of the lectures held?
• Any tips for things I should revise or read now before going that will help me?
• When did you get your reading list, and should I buy all the textbooks or wait until I'm there?
• Are there any really good or bad lecturers I should look out to avoid/get?
• What’s the weekly structure like, how many hours are practicals and lectures, and how much private reading is needed?
• When do we need to pick modules! Will I be able to do modules from other departments in the uni?
• And just basically anything else you wish you’d been told before starting the first year of the course
