Ooops I'm sorry I never replied, I've not been on this site for quite a while (too busy!).
We had a January exam but it was rather worthless; the main exams are spread over the first and last week of next term!
Where do you get your piano lessons from? I've still not got around to it, and they're quite expensive presumably! I also have a job - at the union shop and newsagents! The extra money is so handy!
Can't believe how quickly the year is going, 2/3s through it now! Unreal!

Hi there I recently received an offer from Imperial for Maths and just wanted to know how you're finding the course. How's the life at uni as well? is it really as bad as people say in terms of social life? At the moment it's a decision between warwick and imperial but I do want to live in London so probably Imperial

Hello Beth! Indeed my course is now pretty hectic, too!
I did, yes! It's quite fun being a rep, I must say. The "Love Your Rep" t-shirts were fantastic!
Well, not exactly; I haven't got any lessons, nor the time to have any. Buuut I did buy a keyboard which means I can have a little go on there now and then! Those lessons do sound like precisely what I need though! Glad you're enjoying it!
England is freezing; even London. I must admit I am surprised by quite how cold it is here. I was expecting it to be a little warmer!
Indeed, I'm surprised I've not bumped into you (you must have seen me rock up late to business a couple of times)! Come and say hello! I loved the lecture yesterday; I thought the speaker was really interesting to listen to and he explained things brilliantly. I was glad to be able to almost understand what "r" was too; would have been rather embarrassing had I been totally wrong with over 200 people listening!

Beth!!! Life at Imperial is so awesome! I'm physics year rep for the freshers as of yesterday! I'm just having a truly splendid time in London, I can't imagine anywhere being even close to as good!
How has your first month been? Have you enjoyed the course?
Hope you had a wonderful holiday in China, but it must be great to be back and now in London!
I got the business course for horizons, what did you get?

Oh hi there.
Thought I'd not crap the thread for the applicants for 2013.
Yup, I'm here and doing Joint Maths and Computing...that means I'm doing 3 out of the 4 Maths modules (the only one we don't do is Statistics) and 2 out of the 3 Computing modules.
And yes, I am living in halls: Fisher Hall.
What about you?

Beeeth! Only 5 and a bit days left to go!

I thought you'd prefer the function notation! Indeed, I do regard the mind as a set - if it is to be taken as fact that thoughts and emotions are the result of electrical impulses and chemical reactions in the brain and other areas of the body, then there is a finite (but very large) number of possible actions/thoughts/feelings! Right? In theory one could list them all, and this would give the set containing one's mind! Then Chinese comes along and causes a system overload, and the mind crashes and enters the state of being utterly vacuous! The empty set! #proscience
Aha well we shall have to remedy that - you simply must appreciate Heath Ledger in his prime! Out of respect for the man! Rather astonished that *nobody* in your movie club took charge and forced you all to watch it, though!
I'm not the sportiest person ever, either! Haha! :P But that cake does indeed look great! MMmmm I want it! I can cook, sort of - I can make a pizza from total scratch too, bread, sauce and all! (People tend to love that fact!)
Yay! We were so good, I was so pleased for all the athletes! They made such a good showcase of their talents!
By the way - just realised we've been talking on here for... OVER A YEAR!

No need to apologise m'dear - indeed I even resisted replying sooner than this so you didn't feel compelled to write me again whilst in China! (Of course if you're still there then my plan has failed!) Don't they have Chinese versions of those sites, though?
Wooo! Can't wait to meet you in a few weeks! Alas I was awarded (punished with) Paragon. Naturally, I turned my nose up, and began the trepid search for a flat for the first time! We started off as a group of what I coined "Paragonian Prisoners", but with time we dwindled to 4, then 3, until ultimately we all emailed the accommodation service and were offered twin rooms in Evelyn Gardens - I myself am, therefore, at Willis Jackson! It's not ideal (unlike your own room! *So much envy!*) but it's really cheap in comparison to pretty much everything else, about £110 per week!
I most certainly have seen it! I want to do the Business Imperial course! I'm also wanting to do two (maybe even three!) languages as evening or lunchtime courses - Mandarin, Japanese (you sold it pretty well!) and to brush up on my German. How about you? There are so many things to do! On top of the billions of societies I want to join (not even exaggerating that much! )
Only A*AAAAAB!? You realise that an average set of "good" results is AAB, right? So you've got that, in addition to an outstanding set of results, A*AAA, as well as very respectable STEP results! I'd say that's a *pretty good* haul! Sucks about the 2UMS though, that's probably only 1 mark!
Meeeehhhh, English seems very easy to me, compared to everything else! Haha just one more reason to learn Japanese - like Yoda I must speak!
