  1. Ah, I failed the second round! However, I am currently on the way up in my bank, so that is good news

Good luck with the NHS job and your exams!

Aha no worries I used to like the snow when I was younger but now it's just annoying, I hate the Ice though makes the pavement all slippery :grumble:

My exams went terribly, I hated revising for I think quite a lot of it didn't go into my head & I've got a rubbish memory lol. Now I've got some essays to look forward too

I really need to care what other people think in order to be more social myself, there's no point avoiding human interaction because you're scared of embarrassing yourself otherwise you won't make any friends & be largely unnoticed in life. So therefore I have to face my fears in order to overcome them, starting with getting a job perhaps
  3. Well, I already work full time in a bank, so applying for jobs is nigh on impossible! Almost missed the first round tests as I had almost forgotten about them! Lucky I found some time for them! So... no, unfortunately not. I am just personally grateful to have a salaried job with a large company!! Better than a lot of my friends who graduated from better Universities with other degrees (which is sad, as they are just doing nothing now!)

Strange.... Anyway, I don't know!! The analytical and logical were more of the same. Not enough time and too many questions. I struggled with the analytical (it was a harder version of the numerical test) and did ok on the logical test. Tbh, hopes are not up atm...! However, and this might be of interest to you... A lot of people who get through to round two of the HMRC TPDP have also already been offered a job for the compliance officer role - worth bearing in mind for next year me thinks!!!

Hope you had a good Christmas and new year

I have a bad thought that I haven't nearly enough revision tbh, I just need to get motivated more with my course. I had the first of my 5 exams today it went despite hardly doing any revision for it lol, it was only an hour but I did find the 40 marker a challenge a must say. Aww don't say things like that, positivity is the way forward

What was the reason you couldn't afford to do work placements btw? My Uni highly recommended it to all of us

Oh I'm sorry to hear that :console: I don't really interact with my housemates either tbh, 2 of them are GF & BF so just hang out each other & the other 2 guys upstairs with me seem to just talk aboutn computer games all the time. When I say like hello to them they have muted responses & never say anything to me apart when the bin needs taking out lol. They're also the partying/clubbing type so even if I were more social I wouldn't really be going out with them, I'd prefer other ways of enjoyment anyway.
  5. Thanks You applied for other jobs?
It wouldn't have been your maths - it was the Work Styles questionnaire that was most important. You had to get 90% and above to go through plus minimum pass mark for the other tests. I got 99% better than other people on work styles :-? haha. Bit of a shock tbh.

Ah ok well I'm not at all looking forward to my final year lol. I've got about 5 exams to revise for in January & I also have to sort out a work placement for next year basically no experience. I wouldn't say I have social anxiety but I'm quite shy was well so it'll make me a bit more anxious when I'm starting a job/in an interview lol. What course are you studying again?

What about your social side? Has it improved since I last spoke to you? With all the work going on it's always good to have a bit of a release now & then.
  7. Sorry to hear you didn't get through. I got through somehow!!
    Good luck,

Hey, haven't spoken to you in a while so just thought I'd pop by lol So how's Uni going then, coping with the work alright?
  9. Ha,
well you are clearly far more optimistic than I am. Well, I am happy in the job that I have now, but it does not reflect the student debt that I have taken on... If you get my point!! I will try again next year however

How is your final year so far?

  10. Hey miss llama beans,
Just did the HMRC tests... I am not sure if it just lets you proceed regardless of how your tests went... but the maths was awful... I only answered half, but at least I know the half I answered were correct :/

Think that counts me out... Says they like law students but since when did law students do maths? haha.

Hope you are well and good.
