Then The Hail Came looks like slightly heftier reading than Bill Bryson, it might become a summer project for me! I'd actually be really interested to read your online journal of it, I love blogs like those... sure it wouldn't be too boring Just give me the link when you start it.

I can see why your parents aren't thrilled if you're doing it alone, but I should think if you're savvy and smart you're unlikely to be eaten by bears or abducted en route.

You should read Bill Bryson's 'A Walk In The Woods' if you haven't already, he hiked (part of) the AT and wrote about it and it's very funny as well as being very informative and quite an eye-opener. It's what made me want to do the AT in the first place

Are you seriously going to do the Appalachian Trail next year? You're so lucky, I've wanted to hike it for ages I am so jealous! How much of it do you plan to do?

It went ok, like, I KNOW I've at least got 90% in the bag but I noticed all these stupid mistakes like forgetting units and ****.

I had my stats exam yesterday. After Higher Maths I always get really paranoid about maths exams...

"So, what did you get in India?"

"HIV."

And probably just working.
